The goal of the Director is to lead the European Supply Chain Team to implement and manage the EU business plan while ensuring alignment with the operating and strategic objectives of the business. Includes a range of activities related to oversight of supply and distribution system from Portugal to Russia and driving performance improvement initiatives with supply chain partners and business support functions.

PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILIDADES PERFIL DEL CANDIDATO
 
• This position requires a diverse skill set including significant knowledge of live pig production, systems management, supplier/key account management, finance management and employee leadership.
• Lead a team of employees and business partners (owned, contracted and customer-owned farms) who are ultimately responsible for disseminating genetic improvement, through the Supply Chain and Transport, to customers in the most efficient and cost-effective means possible.
• Identify growth opportunities with the KAMs and Supply/Distribution Partners to meet the targeted volume needs of the regional business.
• Remain current in area of responsibility through establishing a network of Pork industry & academic contacts, studying literature and attending scientific/industry meetings.
• Implement genetic improvement strategies in a timely and efficient manner for the benefit of customers and multiplication partners.
• Maintain product quality to specific standards and address customer quality concerns.
• Ensure accurate reporting of all product inventories and orders on a timely basis.
• Keep proficient in relevant production technologies and practices.
• Collaborate with other departments (Health Assurance, Technical Services, Product Development/Genetic Services, Accounting/Finance, Sales, etc.)
• Develop and manage regional supply chain budget.
• Will be a member of the European Management Team.
 • She/he is a Bachelors or Masters Degree in relevant areas preferred with a minimum of five years experience within intensive swine production systems
• Experienced Operations Management, Business Planning, Sales, International Business and Continous Improvement in the Pork industry.
• This is a senior leadership role and requires the ability to lead both strategically and operationally with highly developed influencing and communication skills
• Working knowledge of new software, hardware and data/production reporting systems
• Experience with transport, logistics, working across Europe and Internationally
• Frequent domestic and international travel required
• Must be proficient in English, Spanish and ideally Russian
